Genki Ramen House

Genki Ramen

San Francisco, CA

94118
415.752.2663

Sunday-Thursday: 11:30am -11:00pm
Friday-Saturday: 11:30am - 1:00am

Genki Ramen is an affordable ($$) place where the wait staff is polite and provides good customer service.

One thing to recommend is the Robatayaki: cheap variuous barbecued choice of veggies, meats, or seafood. The Scallop is grilled shishkabob style with cream sause and tabiko.

They have variuous types of sakes, beers and soju coctails. The recommended drink there is the First Love: soju, mango juice & pineapple juice / Mango Passion: blended mango, soju, triple sec & passion fruit juice.

Green Tea Ice Cream

After trying various brands of Green Tea Ice Creams: Double Rainbow, Mitchelle's, MaggieMud, Polly Anna's, Dryers, and Maeda En.

As far as soy Green Tea @ MaggieMudd's the creaminess is not there, you can taste the soy more than the Green Tea.

The regular green tea @ Double Rainbow, Mitchelle's, Maggie Mudd, Poly Anna, and Dryers is creamy but on the sweet side where it takes away from the green tea.

The favored Green Tea Ice Cream brand seems to be maeda en the creaminess is not overpowering where it takes a few times to swallow and the sweetness does not overpower the taste of the tea. There seems to be a balance of tea, creaminess, and sweetness. unfortunately , this brand is hard to come by. It does take effort to find this brand.

I have found maeda en at Genki Crepes (Clement St Btwn 3 rd and 4th ave), Nijiya Market(Webster & Post).

*eat some ice cream...hahhaha

the beginning

People have always asked us for recommendations on where to go to eat on specific types of food. Since we always telling our friends where to eat, me and a colleague are going to use this blog to rate restaurants, cafes, dessert, grocery stores, etc. and suggest places on where to get good eats.

We will rate the restaurants by the cost, service, atmosphere, freshness, taste, and affordability.
Maybe even parking.....

We may post recipes for those folks that might want to impress your friends, and family.
